“Mating of Souls”

In the swirl of cosmos

in great glittering blackness-twisting of pathos,

late blooming and dark,

as grappling amidst an attempted escape from gravity,

in prolonged pauses, in the stark

birthing canal thrust entrance to vitality:

distended with seeking our ‘other’ prior

to the cognitive illusion of being. In dire

moments, unfurled like wire

and as slight,

this deepest yearning in the thickest night

is satiated but by discovery

of you.
